“Everyone should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10).

Stewardship is offering thanksgiving for the many blessings in our life.  It is a commitment of our spirit and our commitment to God. We are called to offer back to our Lord all that we are and all that we have. Our commitments of time, talent and treasure reflect the gifts that we have and the gifts we can share.  All that we have comes from God and we are called to return a portion to Him and His Church in thanksgiving.

Stewardship is returning to God a portion of the gifts that He bestows upon us. We are called to do this as a testament of our faith and our support of God’s church as it does the Lord’s work in this world.  Stewardship allows the church to be supported by its faithful rather than relying on unpredictable outside sources for our church’s security and future. That would be neither spiritually nor financially healthy.

The mission, ministries and activities of St. James are valuable to our parishioners and the life of our church.  Realistically, the stronger we are financially the stronger and more vibrant our spiritual programming and parish life will be. A pledge commitment is an important way to make the Christ and His church a priority in our lives and is a living symbol of our care for Christ’s church.

Every gift in every form given to God is a blessed one and such generosity and gratitude is critical to one’s faith and to the church. Together, we can support St. James’s mission and can sustain and nurture our parish and our spiritual growth.

If you would like to make a stewardship offering, please send it to St. James Armenian Church, 465 Mt. May God bless you and may you always know the richness of God’s love for us all.
